hello all,
I am working on a NEC SV 9500. I currently have two Attendant stations here. One is in the busiest place in the building, and often gets ignored, and the other is only partially manned. They sometimes pull a secretary to monitor the 2nd one. They have asked me if its feasible to get a 3rd attendant station and have it at the secretary’s desk. I know it is possible to add a 3rd, (or even a 4th), an additional ATI card will be needed. The problem is I believe the attendant consoles are discontinued. They would like the attendant stations to stay where they currently are, just add another location to answer and direct calls.
I was hoping to accomplish this with a 12 button Dterm, maybe with an add on dss console to help make things easier. Our auto attendant call processor, (voicemail system), places the calls to “0” at the end of its process. I have tried to program a digital dterm soft key to monitor “0”. It will not except this and give a station undefined error or something like that. I was told we would need to replace the attendant stations completely and convert to the dterms with programing of the soft keys. Replacement of the attendant stations seems to me, like a waste and not necessary.
I do not need to have these dterm go into night mode or anything special like that. I just need them to be able to answer and direct calls during business hours. The 2 attendant stations go into night mode to determine who gets the call.
Do the attendant stations have their own direct dial numbers? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I just cant justify removal of 2 working attendant stations to accommodate this.
