the serial cable i need for the dte port, is it standard or does it have a special pin out.

has anyone managed to use a usb to serial cable?

i use a serial cable, that connects to my laptop via a usb adaptor because my laptop doesnt have the right ports. don't use it much, but it always works.

I have a sitecom usb to serial converter and it works fine
