Sorry for not posting the resolution to this problem earlier. We replaced the phone, the KSU, upgraded the software, replaced the Amphenol Cable, moved to a different power outlet, new grounding cable, ran new Cat 5e Cable to the phone. Did everything I could think of. NEC support recommended all of the above after I had already done them. Then I finally got hold of a NEC Support Tech who said to re-crimp the RJ45 ends on the Factory Amphenol Cable. He said they have had weird problems when they were not fully crimped. Wouldn't you know it. The problem has now been corrected. I never thought about there being a bad batch of Tails with bad crimps. Any way the problem is resolved.
