How are DSP channels selected when a call is placed?
Our system is a CS1K SG, Rls 6.0. We have 7 MC32 cards, 4 are NTVQ01BB and 3 are NTDW65AAE5. 2 are in loop 12, 2 are in loop 4 and 3 are in loop 20-1. The 3 NTDW65 cards never have any traffic while the 4 NTVQ01 cards share the traffic.

Thanks,

They are handled as ACD agents, so if none have received calls it should start at the beginning and work its way through the channels

Where do you have your PRI cards? Do you only have them in Loops 0-15 or do you also have PRI in loops 16-31?

DSP assignment is a bit more complicated then like ACD. Resource location is the most imported 1. If the DSP is located in loop 0-15 and the PRI is also located in that part the DSP in loop 0-15 will be used. If DSP's are located in 16-31 they will be used for 16-31. And now I didn't even look at bandwidth zones.

So it really depends on how your system is build to see how DSP will be used.

We have PRI's in Loop 3,8,9,18,24,25,27. The MC32 cards and the IP phones are in Zone 2. I have traced a call that came in on loop 8 and it never uses the NTDW65 cards, which 2 are in Loop 12 and one in Loop 20-1. The system just never uses them.I guess during very low traffic I will disable the NTVQ cards and see if the NTDW65 cards are selected.
