DSA vs ASA

Hello,

When i got to this company they were still using terronova to access the g3si and the intuity audix. After digging around in some closets I found DSA ver 1.5.6 buts it's labeled july 2000. I didnt start here until 2002, and no one ever used it. Does anyone know when ASA was released and how do i get a copy. The copy of DSA i have has a few bugs in it. Other than that it works fine. Any info would be appreciated.

ASA replace DSA in 2001. You could call you Avaya rep and see if you can get an updated version.

If I were you and had international sites which used the tracker modem settings, I would keep the copy of Terranova. ASA and DSA have not yet been configured to deal with the tracker modem utilized in some locations in the UK and Germany. The tracker modems requrie you to not only enter a dial sting, but a password and serial port numbers, too. How would you handle that using ASA and DSA. Terranva can handle this type of scripting. I read recently where Terranova had come out with an updated release after all of these years.

i think Avaya Terminal Emulator that comes on the same CD as ASA is what you are talking about as far as the updated release.
