Whenever I try to boot windows I get this error. This is on a homebuilt machine, that was running fine, until it shut down and went into a cycle of restarting. As I try to re-install windows XP I get this message. Any help will be appreciated.

reset the bios to factory state!!!

It's the same each time with progress. First they ignore you, then they say you're mad, then dangerous, then there's a pause and then you can't find anyone who disagrees with you.

I have reset the bios to factory settings with no luck, and fail safe settings without much luck either.

You could also run "memtest86" runs from a DOS disk, so you don't even need Windows to check the memory.
