Driver 4 Modem Problem

i am using a BT voyager 100 ADSL modem with XP. I have tried to connect to Internet with mandrake but was unable. I looked for a driver for the BT voyager 100 but was unable to find 1 i could only find one for the BT voyager(older model). i am pretty new to Linux but i would have liked to have had a Linux server for my websites. Has anybody had these problems and been able to solve them or know where i can get a driver for the modem.

Haven't tried this, don't have the hardware. Too much free time and google seemed lonely. See

hmm... looking at this i am wasting my time thanks 4 the reply anyhow. just getting the feeling that BT dont whant 2 support Lynux, major bummer. gunna ring them tomorrow and ask if they are sorting it or disconnect me. thx again.

Depends upon what you consider wasting your time.

Did you check the second link? Although your modem isn't specifically mentioned on that page, it is listed in the supported modems section:

BT probably doesn't want to support linux. Neither do most other ISPs. Although configuration might be easier with a different ISP or modem, it might not.

Either way, I would at least poke around the site above for a bit and check it out. Really looks to me like they think it works and I noticed a few others in the google search pointing to that site as a solution.

Just a quick thanks for the replies, sorry it took so long, I have been off line 4 a while. Unfortunately the links above only point out that there is no driver at present for the BT voyager 100 modem only the BT voyager modem so I will have to buy a new modem but thx for your time.
