I have Windows 2K Pro. I logon as admin and unshare a folder(c: drive). I re-logon as a user, the folder is not shared. That's good but when I restart the machine and logon as admin or a user the folder is shared again? Any ideas in why this is happening?

Are you talking about the C$ share? If so, this share should not be deleted. It's an Administrative Share....It is there for a reason. If you delete this share, it will re-appear after reboot.

If this is what happening to you, STOP. Your not supposed to delete these shares. (Just kidding...lol)

hi anthony888
copy this in a file named unshare.reg :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters]
"AutoShareServer"=dword:00000000
"AutoShareWks"=dword:00000000

now save it and double click on it
just restart the server service of ur comp
and ur done thats it
well for precaution u could take backup of ur registry
