I just upgraded 2 of our 4 servers to Netware 5.1. I decided to use NSS voulmes instead of Novell's traditional volume format. Everything has gone smoothly execpt our backup. We are using BackupExec 8.0 from Seagate (Bought it just before Veritas bought BE from Seagate) and although it says it's compatible with Netware 5.x servers it crashes everytime I try to back up these new NSS volumes. At first I was perplexed since it seemed to be randomly crashing, but then I narrowed it down and it only gets hung up when backing up the nss volumes. It doesn't freeze the server but causes a Drive Falure message to appear. I've tried increasing the NSS cache allotment but that didn't seem to make any difference. The error message is basically the same telling me that the session has been taken off line and that I may need to reboot to continue with other sessions. If I quit BE I can restart it and continue with other backups. Because I'm new to NSS volumes I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Would upgrading to BE 9 fix this problem? Unfortunantly we are a small high school in Brazil and budgets are real tight and so I was hopping I could us what we've got.

Thanks,
