Make sure your floppy drive is enabled within BIOS. There may be a couple of setting availble so check carefully. Does the light come on or stay on during boot or when you load a disk? Make sure you are using a know good ribbon cable and it is properly installed, red line USUALLY goes toward the power connection. Check for bent pins if this a new install and that all connection are firm and true. Good Luck

enable seek at boot to hear it and see the drive select light. If light is on continuously the cable is reversed. And make sure that the swap floppy isn't activated, and the FDC is enabled.
