Is there a good resource (website or book) that could give me more details about drilling down?

I need to do some extensive reporting with the drill down option. Including going several layers deep, suppressing group headers/footers on condition, adding a line on only one section once drilled down, based on a conditional, etc.

Can anyone suggest some good resources?

Thank you.

I think you are going to have a hard time.
There isn't much control for drilling down.
There is no conditional control, since hiding has no conditions like suppressing has. There are also no drill down events within a report.

You might look at on-demand subreports, which give you more control. However, you can only do one level. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

There is a good book on Crystal Reports which I am using.

It's called: Seagate Crystal Reports 8: The Complete Reference by George Peck.

There are sections in the book regarding drilling down, conditional suppression of headers/footings, and nesting groups. There is also a CD which contains examples, one of which is a drill-down report.

I used it to build my drill-down reports. I have 5 nested groups, and I suppress the headers, along with other text fields on conditions. It helped me to make the report look a lot nicer (although it did not solve all my problems).

How would you suppress a group footer (based on a conditional) after drilling-down in that footer?
