we have been provided with a report that we can not drill down on - has this something to do with thick and thin client ?

what would we need to be able to drill down on these types of reports ?

Need more info.

Is is a full-client report? Are yo viewing it in InfoView?

If both of the above are true, then you cannot drill on it.
