A link to your page would help to see what you're missing.
Liam Morley
lmorley@wpi.edu
<a href=] :: imotic :: website :: [
"light the deep, and bring silence to the world.
your GIF image (180K) is FAR too big for a web page; more than 3 times bigger than entire page should be. If you want an animated graphic like that, I'd definitely make it in Flash. That would also change the dynamics of your problem. But that graphic is far too big...

2nd, your image preloader script didn't work on my machine. I made a preloader FAQ in the HTML / DHTML area, if that might help.

And your button goes back and forth, but I didn't see anything at all change in your main window. I think you'd want this:

onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('phototips','','images/phototipsbutton2.gif',1); MM_swapImage('top.frames.mainFrame.movie','','images/something_else.gif',1)"

Where did you find that script? It doesn't look quite right to me... It accepts no arguments, yet parses them as MM_swapImage.arguments . I'd start with a new script first... actually, I'd build it in Flash... if you need a hand doing any of that, let me know.
Liam Morley
lmorley@wpi.edu
<a href=] :: imotic :: website :: [
"light the deep, and bring silence to the world.
