Drawing images at runtime

I would like to be able to have the user draw images of their choice on my form. I can get a circle and rectangle to be the size that I determine with the mouse, but is there any way to resize or be able to see the image as it is being drawn? Do I need an ActiveX control or is it something else? If any of you have any ideas, could you post it here? Thanks.
