Dragging items onto desktop

hey-

Just wondering how to drive .exe files onto my desktop, and then be able to run them effectively... I know how to move them by holding shift and dragging them right onto the desktop, but then if I double click the icon, the program does not start up properly! Just wondering if yall could help! thanks in advance...

You also need to drag all the files that come with the .exe in order for it to run, or you can just make a shortcut
