Have a group of about 4/5 users who are continually getting Dr Watson Errors when using Word 2000. NT is SP6, word is SR1 and SP2. They are all getting similar error messages.
Application error has occurred, Winword.exe. Exception: access violation(0xc0000005) address: 0x010b47cb. All are getting the same or similar messages. All get the same access violation message and all get the same '47cb' at ther end of the address. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction to find the correct info..

I'm an Info systems person, not highend techie - so for what this may be worth... We have a RAM eating GUI application running on NT4 workstations. -- Doubt it's worse than MSoft apps. -- A few of the PCs would do the Dr Watson thing fairly often and hang. The software application vendor recommended going into \system32\DrWatson32 and unchecking the display visual of the error. Seems they think the two apps are competing for the same memory address - specific to the visual display of the error message and who knows what code in the user app. Anyhow, DrWatson still reports the error to its log file. I was told you don't lose functionality by turning off the visual error msg. Surely someone will add in if otherwise.
