Downloads Hang after a certain amount of time

When i download a file using the standard downloader the download hangs after a while, it happens on every file i download normally after about 9mbs of download.

I have download managers installed but would prefer to use the standard downloader for certain sites.

It may be that you temporary directory has too much in it.
Click on start then Run.
Type %Temp% and remove the contents of this folder.

NOTE make sure you do not have any other programs active when you do this.

Now try downloading again.
