I've never heard of QBasic itself crashing a computer.
It may be one of two things.
First, your the program you ar writing is causing the problem(esp. if you are using peek and poke).
Second, you might have a virus. Get an antivirus program and check. You may be able to download a trial copy for free.
Then again there might be something wrong with your copy of QBasic. I suggest you find a friend who has a Win95 or Win98 CD. It should be on it somewhere. Don't forget to capy the help file as well as the program. It is also in most of the versions of DOS(ie. DOS 5 and DOS 6.22).
