...in NMON. We have 8 procs showing as 16. Will this be SMT / Micro Partitioning? How can I confirm this or investigate?

probably you have smt enabled

run:

smtctl

try also:

topas -L


on my 1 CPU system, having smt enabled I see:

Online Virtual CPUs: 1 Online Logical CPUs: 2

Thanks, I suspected SMT but just needed to confirm.
