Is it possible to use dll functions in DOS? Like mmsytem functions (thats mainly the one i want...multimedia functions that is).

yes. For 16 bit DOS there are drivers. But if you are under win2000 or higher, use any .dll, there does not make difference if they are for DOS like console or not.

really......could you give me an example. And if your in dos would the dll function run in the backround. And how would you give the arguments and stuff and/or how would you retrieve information from dlls. thx so far.
