Domino installation - how difficult??

My Win2k server is cripled to the point where it may be necessary to nuke it and rebuild the whole thing from scratch. The only unknown factor is the Domino Server software on it. It was all set up before my arrival, so I've no experience at installing and configuring Domino. Anyone have direct experience at this? How difficult is it and what are the "gotcha's". Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

if you have a full backup of all files,
(please take a backup when the Domino service is not running)

then place those files on the new server, in exact the same location,
then run the Domino server install of the SAME version on top of those files and your DOmino server will be fine

(you can actually test this on a spare machine if you want... it's really that easy) --------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the info. The guys who installed it prior to my arrival had a heck of a time getting it to run (I think due to inexperience), which has made me hesitant to just jump in and do it. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again.
