Hello. I have an e-mail server that I just setup on Sunday. It seemed to send and receive just fine. Then the end users started to complain that domains on the internet where being rejected. Here is an example of the error
They seem to be adding by the hour.

christytracey@patmedia.net>:
>209.55.5.225 does not like recipient.
>Remote host said: 554 Service unavailable; Client host [67.80.52.114] blocked using combined.njabl.org; Dynamic/Residential IP range listed by NJABL dynablock - >Giving up on 209.55.5.225.

I don't understand this error.

Thanks in advance
Erick

Is the IP allocated to you a static IP or are you using Dynamic IPs from a Cable modem provider ? It seems the recipients server is using a RBL from njabl.org/dynablock.html which checks if your IP is either blocked because it's open relay or because it's a dynamic IP. I had a similar problem with one of my customer because they subscribed to a Cable modem service and the fixed IP that was giving to them was previously a dynamic IP that was switch over. I battled for weeks trying to the it all sorted out and gave up. We finally switched over to another ISP and got a clean Static IP. You may also need a PTR record associated to your IP because some servers will need that info to validate your domain (AOL is one).

Thank you for the information
I'll check on that.

Yup, your IP is blacklisted. If you're on a residential-grade internet service, you need to change to a business-grade one.
