Windows 2000 domain, multiple sites. Windows 2000 DNS server on a DC, standard primary DNS server.
I have multiple small sites on the far sides of VPN's (Symantec Firewall VPN 100's & 200's.) The computers there were added to the domain here at headquarters, then shipped to the remote sites.
The Symantec Firewall VPN's are providing DHCP for their networks, they provide themselves as the DNS server, then they proxy to my (Windows) DNS server through the VPN.
When I go into Local Users and Groups on all the computers when they are in the remote sites - I don't see any of the names or groups I have added to either the local users or local admins groups. Instead I see SID numbers.
Is there any problems with this? They seem to work fine, but when I remote control into them I cannot tell what users or groups have already been added to the local users or administrators groups.
