I am planning on migrating from source.com domain to target.com domain and it says that I need to have the account that runs the admt tool (which I will be running from the target domain) have administrator rights in both domains. I tried adding the source domain to the target domains "domain admin" group and it can't see that domain. The domains are in different forests and there is a trust setup between the forests and users from both forest can log on to all machines. I have never attempted a migration of any sort before and I tried to find info on best practices for doing this but have as of yet come up with nothing. If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some pointers I would appreciate it.
