Hello,
I am trying to correctly configure DNS on a Win 2000 Domain. We have a server that is hosting a website. Its address is .144 My DNS server is .134 and my PDC is .136. In my forward lookup zones there are 3 HOST RR's that all point to my domain, one for each server. My problem is this: When someone visits the domain, DNS is resolving it to .134, because our win 2000 domain is the same name as our web domain. It needs to resolve as .144(The correct web server). When i delete the two other HOST RR's(.134, and .136) it appears to resolve correctly to .144. But about 15 minutes later DNS throws those two HOST RR's back in the list for some reason. I am only running one primary DNS so i dont understand how DNS is putting those RR's back into the forward zones. How do i correctly make the website resolve to .144, and keep it that way?
