Good morning,

Im not sure if Im posting this in the correct place or not but I thought I would start here. I am working with an Analyst at my company on implementing the Magic Service Desk by Remedy. In order for the user to get to this new self service desk they have to go to (internal) we are running IIS internally. The question I have is how would i set it up so that the users could type just help in their browswer and that would direct them to our internal I used to be an analyst for an ISP and we had an intranet for knowledge base purposes and I used to just type FAQ in the browser and that would direct me to the knowledge base.

You might be asking why does it matter just type in the full URL, Im trying to make it as easy as possible for the end users.

thank you in advance

Zack

Generally, companies tend to use WINS servers internally rather than DNS servers, although that does seem to be changing. For example, we have a company intranet via The 'intranet' bit is resolved via WINS and so does not need a domain suffix.

Chris.
