Domain list empty

on one win2k member server on an nt4 domain when i list the contents of the domain its empty
i can still ping and map drives anywhere
and this member server can be contacted from else where

what do i have to restart and why's it happened in the first place - any ideas appreciated

Have you disabled NetBIOS? Check from a command prompt (ipconfig /all) - this will tell you if NetBIOS is disabled - if it is you can't browse, although as you can see you can still use UNC's.
