Greetings,

I have a server (w2k3 x64 std) that is a domain controller. I have a laptop (win xp pro).

On the laptop, I have set some domain groups to be in the Administrators group. My problem is that these groups are not being saved when the laptop is not connected to the domain controller. Basically, in the computer management, instead of the laptop displaying DOMAIN\GROUP it displays the SID of the group.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

when the laptop is not connected to the DC". Can you clarify please?

Thanks for the reply.

What I meant was if the laptop is taken home, or to an area where it can no longer reach the domain controller.
