HI,

I've just added 2 workstations (xp pro) to a test domain which was fine, but after the restart and logging in with a domain account I see that the Domain Admins group has not been added to the Local Admin group. All I see is a ? mark with a long number, usually meaning it can't see the group?

I took the workstation out of the domain, rebooted, added it to the domain, checked the Local Admin group and Domain Admins WAS in the local admin group, rebooted, logged in to the domain as Admin, checked the local group and again the Domain Admins was missing and just this "? numbers..."

One workstation is now ok, just by removing and re-adding it, but the other still won't work.

Any ideas?

Hi,
Just try as per below:

1. Remove the Domain memebership & Make it a member of workgroup.
2. Rename the ComputerName.
3. Join computer in Domain.
4. Add the Domain admin group in local admin group.
5. Restart it & check it out.

Confirm...
