Hello,
I'm running arcserve sp4 on windows 2000 server sp3. Our backups are skipping a lot of files with the error 3406 EC=Sharing Violation. So I read that the arcserve services should be running under a domain account with the proper rights. So I created an Arcserve account, added it to the domain admins group and log on to this server with it every day with no problems. However, when I set all the engines to use this account instead of the Arcserve account, I get a failure to logon message E=3073 EC=Privilege not held.
So I am looking for help with two issues: the skipped files (we do not run the open file agent. Our backups run in the middle of the night so some process will have files open and those files will be skipped. But the sheer number of files being skipped that I know are closed is a problem. That many files won't be open over night) and the problem with logging in as the Arcserve account. The password works, it logs on as a service and acts as part of the operating system and is also a member of the local admin group. Also, at first the database engine gave me the logon problem but now it logs on ok but the job and tape engine do not. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
