Just a quick question for which I have totally forgotton the answer to. But does Windows 98 namely Windows 98SE read USB devices. For example a USB digital camera would that be seen ? I am just going to visit a friend who wants to connect a USB camera to his machine but it only has Windows 98 and he is sure its Windows 98SE. Just thought I had better prepare myself ! Thanks

Yeah, SE supports USB.

Make sure you install the software before plugging anything in... if you do it the other way around you may screw things up.

In my case, plugging the camera in was all it took to recognize the hardware.
