Does Ultradev4 have contain Full version of COLDFUSION 4

Hi,

Does Ultradev4 have contain Full version of COLDFUSION 4
coz when we try to us it across our network we get a
message saying we've got a single user version only
but the version of ultradev we purchased is a full version

Yes, a full version of Cold Fusion does come with the editor, but, as you have discovered, it only works on one machine. For example, I have Studio on my machine, and it comes with a full version of CF Enterprise edition, but, the server will only accept requests from the local host, so you also have to have some kind of web server software on your development machine. You cannot use it on a network. It is for development purposes on a local machine only. If you want to put it on your network, you will have to buy a version of Cold Fusion server. Or else, you will need a license for the editor for each developer. Since I'm a one person web department, I don't know how it works with multiple developers, but I'm sure others can tell you.

Thanks for your comprehensive reply - Not in a position to justify purchase of CF Server @ £1000 just yet.

Is CF Lite still available do you know ? And if so is it networkable and where do I get it ?

You can download Cold Fusion Express which is a free, but very limited version of CF. Yes, you can put it on a network. The downside is, there are a lot of tags you can't use. You can do only the most basic functions. However, it won't cost you anything, so have fun!
