Does MDR2000 Capture Incoming Caller ID?

We recently traded in our old T1's for PRI's. We now receive incoming called ID.

We collect our records thru an MDR 2000 buffer box (serial, not ethernet) for high availability in case we have to take the server down for maintenance, updates, etc. We also collect CDR records thru OTM Data Buffering & Access in case something happens to the buffer box. When I look at the records collected by DB&A, I can see the caller ID. However, when I look at the records collect by the MDR Buffer Box, there is no caller ID. Is there something in the switch programming that needs to change for this information to be passed to the buffer box, or is the buffer box cutting this off?

You have to reprogram the MDR2000 to collect this data.

ace nailed it, go into the mdr2000 menu and include clid in the string..

i perfer (on a network) to dump to a local pc runing procomm, with capture on the .cap path set to a share drive. a short script stops and start the cap ever 24 hours. that gives me a clean and complete file from each site each day.. when i had a need to look at records quickly i used the scroll back buffer which was maxed out.. to find the ext on a 911 call a quick right click of the mouse-find 911 enter... maybe 6 seconds total and i had the information..

that was at a court house when dealing with a bomb threat, the call was internal.. seems someone wanted to put off a trial date, he did but was arrested on fed changes for the threat... might need to be in the dumb crooks hall of fame.. he changed a 30 day max charge into 5 years min
