Does Exchange 2000 Enterprise Run on Windows 2003 Enterprise Server

I have installed it but the services will not start, I seem to be reading 2000 does not run on 2003 can anyone confirm this?

Exchange 2000 Enterprise does run on Windows 2003. I have it running now in that configuration.

It must be another issue. Anything in the event logs when you try and start the services?

I guess what I'm looking for is a little info.

I ran ForestPrep and Domain Prep and then Installed and it seemed to be running ok. One big questions is does it install services and if so what are they? IMAP SMTP POP

This is just one 2003 server promoted to a AD controller, nothing special.

I have someone else telling me it doesn't run on 2003 but I just do not know.

Well, we do not have it running on a DC, so that may be an issue.

The services that we have listed are all of the usual exchange ones - Service attendant, IMAP, MTA stacks, etc.

I'm confused by your posts though - are you or are you not currently running Ex2003 sucessfully? Can you send and receive mail? If not, what are the problems? What is in the event log? Is the SMTP connector setup correctly? Is your DNS configured correctly? Is the Exchange Services account configured correctly?

Sorry, but it's difficult to troubleshoot without seeing what is happening.
