I just converted a db which was created in Access 2000 to Access 2002, because I was going to make an .mde. I received an error converting it to 2002, so I read here on TT to first compile the code (which I did, and which was in fact the root of the conversion error).
So, anyway, now that the db is in 2002, I can't get into developing mode... the shift key no longer works when I open the database, which is a big problem because I had created custom menus, etc. I can still use Shift+F11 to get the db window open, but I can no longer access object properties when in design mode. Did I totally screw up my ability to continue to develop the db by compiling the code?
I can get into the code window (CTRL+G), and I tried adding in the 'disable shift key' then 'enable shift key' routines found in the FAQ of this forum, but no dice. I am still locked out.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
