I know that IBM is not supporting the non express versions of client access with V5R1, but I am interested in knowing if the display emulation will still work. The only thing some of the machines in our organization use client access for is the display emulation. Preferably, we want to go to V5R1 on our 400, but not update some of our desktops until approx. 1 month after v5r1 is put on the 400. We run TCP/IP as the connectivity protocol on all of the machines with client access. Anyone doing this or know if it will for sure work? Thanks.

It "may" work with a TCP/IP enabled station, but I doubt that it would be very useful.

If you are looking for some cheaper terminal emulation software check out BOSaNova @
We have our clients running on their TCP/IP version (6.00) and it works great. J.R. Juiliano

I think it does... but I am not 100% sure. We just upgraded one machine and I don't think my co-worker changed his CA. Search the archives at and you might find a better answer there. Mike Wills
