Does borland exist??

Confused Swede!!

I asked in a compter stoore here in Sweden for BCB5>, and to mu suprise he tells me that borland siezed to exist over a year ago! Is this true? He also told me that Microsoft migh or might not have bought borland! Is this also true?

I am trying to find another version of BCB, my current is - freeversion supplied by a computer magazine - BCB3 standtard! Not so much fun!! If anyone knows a place where I can by BCB 4> or 5>, without the need of cards or checks, please lett me know!!!

borland still exist, they changed their name over a year ago to Inprise , they wanted a motto called "Inprise inspires programmers"

most of their programming languages will still carry the name Borland, due to it's reconition, but the company itself is call inprise.

Just before Christmas I purchased BCB5 Pro from Programmer's Paradise (

) [also known as Programmers Supershop]. Also note that Inprise will be changing its name back to Borland later this year (!!!????)

Borland's hottest product is JBuilder which is a Java based RAD. They are also getting ready to produce Kylix which is Delphi (Pascal) and C++ compilers for both Linix and Windows. See there site for more information.

I got a bit confused when he 'forgot' to tell me that they only changed the name!! Dont know 'bout you, but i think that people dealing with computers should know least half the truth!! not only bits and peaces!! =I

Jbuilder, recently got version 5(I think), professional on a demo disc(or what ever they're called)!! Though I don't know much about Java, I will still give it a try!!
