does asp work on Mac's?

I need to make a program that retrieves the header details from .JPG and .TIF files written on Mac's. I want to create a web application for the Mac. Can I do this with the .net platform? What are my limitations?

Hmm..never had to do that before (whats a .tif file?), but here's my theory:

Since .jpg is a univeral file type, and since asp.net only returns raw html to the browser, I would *think* that its possible to do.
