Documented performance Comparison between 6.5 and 7

Hello,

I have recently joined a company that is still using sql server 6.5 and are thinking of upgrading to version 7. They have asked my advice on this subject and asked for a white paper on the subject. It has been easy to point out the obvious new features of SQL 7 but I am really looking for some benchmark performance figures to include in the report, thanks.

Why would you upgrade to SQL 7 at this late date. When SQL 2000 has been out for over a year? I would be like deciding to migrate a VP3 app to VB5.

I agree with fluteplr. In fact, you can no longer purchase SQL 7 at least not from Microsoft.
