Does anyone know how to configure a scanner to work with a terminal server session. I have a WAN connection to a remote site that needs to scan within a custom program. I cannot find a way to get the scanner to scan directly to the custom program. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Ryan,

I have this exact problem with a medical software package. I hope someone can answer because I have had no luck. What software are you using and scanner?

I don't believe that it's possible. The only way I can think of that may be able to do it is to map the server's com/lpt ports to the clients. (I think "net use com3: \\client\com1:" - might be com1$ - should do it). Then install the software to the server & try.

The other option is a Network Document Server. Has a SCSI-2 connection for the scanner, ethernet port and Web interface, and can send the document to e-mail addresses, file servers, printers, URLs and the Web.

Check for details.
