Hello all,

We are having a great drain on resources with multiple copies of same documents, also people are getting bored with the tedious mission it is to get to their folder on the server to open their documents.

I need an intranet that has a document management type system giving users access to the documents in a user friendly way, also freeing up plenty of hard disk (but its more for the fact theres a posibility people can send out old worded documents rather than current ones).

I have written a system that did very much the same thing a while ago in asp (unfortunately don't have the source any more) but i need it in php.

As i'm just starting up with this language, is there any recomendations on any opensource that already does this which can be manipulated and branded, or somewhere i can get easy to use plugins saving me having to learn the complicated before the simple in regard to php coding.

If this makes no sense i apologise and i'll keep scouting the web.

Cheers.

Have you tinkered with WebDAV? I have not used this much but it may point you in a direction to follow.
