I seem to be having a problem with:

DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, acSaveRecord, , acMenuVer70

If i immediately open the recordset again and find the last record entered, the above acsaverecord does not seem to be saved.

If i wait for 10 seconds or so... it seems to be ok

Is this an issue with access ..????? or am i imaginging it ??

If this is the case , is there any way of forcing it write immediately

Regards Kennedymr2

Open a recordset"? Can you share some additional code? I would try to avoid the DoMenuItem in favor of some other code (depending on what you are attempting to save)?

Don't guess ... let the pro's handle it. You can start by answering [blue]dhookom's[/blue] latest post (I was waiting for this myself). You can shrug it off or pin it down ... the choice is yours!
