This may be a very simple question which I've overlooked, but here goes anyway. I want to put code behind a button to insert an OLEobject into a field on a form. I've tried

DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acInsertMenu, acInsertobject, acMenuVer70

to no avail. Any one have a simple solution?

Sorry, that didn't work. I got the message "Run error 2640. The command or action "insertObject" isn't available
now." I've gotten that with everything I've tried. This is Access 2000 and 2002, by the way. I've tried it in both. Any more solutions or answers?

This might be a bit outdate, but I'm getting the same Run error 2640 attempting to use runcommand to open a table, delete contents, open a new table, copy contents and paste into the old table. Did you resolve the error?

Hi. Nope, I just gave up and did it off the menu. I never did figure out why it wouldn't work.
