Do you need SQL Enterprise for an active/active SQL Service?
 
In the SQL Administration book is saying that Standard edition does suport failover.
On Microsoft site there is no mention about this kind of support.
Since i don't have any SQL Standard edition at home, I can answer just: try and see if you have at the beginning of install the option of the Virtual Server. If it is, then is suported.
That option will appear just if SQL setup will detect the Cluster service running.
