When I select reports in CentreVu and choose historical, then do a Agent Trace by Location, a few reps that I select don't showing any data.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thx

Have you activated the trace for the agent(s) in questions?
(Agent Administration/Activate Agent Trace).

If so, was the agent logged in for the date that you are looking for?

I was unaware of this feature...
I am guessing that the others were turned on by the previous admin.

I turned it on for this rep. Is it common to have it for all of them? Does it take up resources on the server if I enable it for every agent-id?

And if I turn it on, I am guessing I can't go back and pull from dates prior to it being enabled?

Thanks for the help!

Usually, it's only turned on the the agents that you need, when you need it. It doesn't really "hurt" anything to have it on for 100% of the agents, 100% of the time - BUT there is a limit to the number of agent trace records that are kept (it's found under CMS System Setup/Data Storage Allocation). If I remember correctly, each individual line of an Agent Trace report is a "record". When you reach your limit of agent trace records, the older ones are automatically purged from the system to make room for the new ones. So if you are tracing 100% of your agents, you won't be able to go very far back into the past to view the agent activity - the information won't be there.

And you are correct, the information is begins to be collected when the trace is enabled.

This is excellent information. Thank you.

We are a remote site so I don't have access to the CMS Server. But I will contact them to find out the settings.

Glad I could help. FYI - CMS System Setup/Data Storage Allocation can be checked through CMS Supervisor, if you have the appropriate permissions.
