In my form letter merge I print the following.

{name}
{address1}
{address2}
{city}, {state} {zip}

Many customers don't have the address2 field populated, so I don't want a blank line printed if address2 is empty. How can I tell word not to print empty database field ?

Hi Andy,

When you run your Mail Merge you get a Mail Merge Helper window in Word 2000 (Word XP will be very similar), and there you finally select the Merge task after you have setup the Main Document and the Data Source.

When you select the Merge button you are given the Merge window which contains setup options for the Merge. One of these is "Don't print blank lines when data fields are empty.". Tick this and your problem is solved.

Good Luck!
