Do not create shortcut automatically

after i link to my server from a wks for several times, a shortcut link will automatically appeared in 'my network place' in my wks. can i disable this?

e.g: \\fileserver\data in a shortcut will appeared.

From memory I THINK you can edit this in group policies, although I have a feeling that this may only be on Windows Server 2003. Give it a hunt in GP's and see if anything comes up.
