Do I have to tell the Legend which card is in which slot

Does the Legend have to be told which card is in which slot in order for that card to work.

You probably are talking about a board renumber. After that the system should recognized the card as being there as long as it's compatible with what you're running.

How do you do the system renumber?

Go into WinSPM or to an operator phone. Follow the menu options SysProgram-->System-->Board Renum. Once you confirm this option the system will go down and restart. Once it goes down the Merlin should recognize the new card(s).

Be careful of this option if you have moved cards around, since line numbers and whatnot get automatically assigned. Did you just add a new card at the end of your carrier? If so you shouldn't have anything major to concern yourself with...
