Do Avaya employees monitor this forum? 2

Why do you ask?

-We all play from the same deck of cards, it's how we play the hand we are dealt which makes us who we are.

Just curious. I noticed someone had posted in another thread with an Avaya email address.
In my opinion, they should at least monitor the forum to know whats going on hte user community. Maybe they think they already know what goes on, but I'm not so sure.
The down side is the forum could be propaganda tool.

Doesn't Paul Beddows work for Avaya?

Avaya, Octel, AUDIX, CMS and other fun stuff.

Vendors are encouraged to be helpful by answering questions & solving problems, but are not allowed to push products.

All Tek-Tips forums are closely monitored for information which could be construed as "propaganda" or "product pushing" by vendors. It is against the user agreement to promote any products in a forum. I've seen users barred from the website for not following the user agreement (and yes, the management is very tenacious in making sure that barred users don't regain access).

T-T is meant to be a helpful place, not somewhere that vendors can go to sell their products. I think they do a very good job of keeping it as it was meant to be.

I like that. Perhaps Avaya should have techs dedicated to this, since they don't seem to be hosting a site of their own. LISTENING AVAYA? Ok, at Avaya.com you can dig around and check the FAQ and such, but so many times what is needed is give-n-take, and a FAQ section on the web can't do that. It's just like the auto attendants on our beloved phone systems. They have limitations. A live operator is almost always better.

As you stated in an earlier thread, AVAYA makes a great product so even if they were in this Forum they would probably read nothing but good about their products, the beefs come from the financial buisness end of AVAYA from what Iv'e seen and heard.

Avaya has another forum that I know is moderated by Avaya employees, it's in Yahoo Groups and it's called the "Avaya List"

I've posted questions there and an Avaya tech will actually respond with their phone number and when I call they walked me through the entire process of the solution I was looking for.
