Hi there, I have set up several mailboxes across several domains which are all hosted on a single VPS server (basically a virtual host that for all intents and purposes behaves like a physical host on the internet.)
I can send and receive mail pretty easily for the most part, but sometimes outgoing email ends up in spam boxes. Now I've checked blacklists and such and I don't seem to be on any, but running a report on dnscolos.com shows the following 2 problems:
Failed Mailserver connection test
HELO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, QUIT Connect to mailserver steven-tan.com FAILED (could be greylisting)
220 and/or bulk e-mail. 250 vps.playerbase.com Hello srv195086.webreus.nl [87.119.195.86]
Failed Mailserver greeting The server should have an A record which points to the mailserver for the hostname
which is presented in the greeting
steven-tan.com
I also get similar errors when running a report for steven-tan.com
A while back I had asked my service provider to add an accurate reverse entry, and the IP correctly points to vps.playerbase.com. What else am I missing here? Any help would be much apprecitaed.
